| InterpolationHelperLerp Method (Vector3D, Vector3D, Double) |
Performs a linear interpolation between two
Vector3D.
Namespace: DigitalRune.Mathematics.InterpolationAssembly: DigitalRune.Mathematics (in DigitalRune.Mathematics.dll) Version: 1.14.0.0 (1.14.0.14427)
Syntax public static Vector3D Lerp(
Vector3D source,
Vector3D target,
double parameter
)
Public Shared Function Lerp (
source As Vector3D,
target As Vector3D,
parameter As Double
) As Vector3D
public:
static Vector3D Lerp(
Vector3D source,
Vector3D target,
double parameter
)
static member Lerp :
source : Vector3D *
target : Vector3D *
parameter : float -> Vector3D
Parameters
- source
- Type: DigitalRune.Mathematics.AlgebraVector3D
The source vector. - target
- Type: DigitalRune.Mathematics.AlgebraVector3D
The target vector. - parameter
- Type: SystemDouble
The interpolation parameter that lies in the interval [0,1]; also known as interpolation
factor or weight of the target value.
Return Value
Type:
Vector3DThe linear interpolation of two vectors.
Remarks Lerp(a, b, 0) returns a. Lerp(a, b, 1) returns b.
The interpolation parameter can lie outside of the interval [0, 1].
Outside of this interval the method actually performs an extrapolation instead of an
interpolation.
